Papillon Italiano:Bow tie’s colours in fashion and history

Papillon Italiano HandMade

The story goes that the first ones to wear ties were the Croatian mercenaries soldiers of Louis XIV. Originally made of tulle and lace, ties soon spread from France throughout Europe. At first they were worn only by men and appeared in women’s fashion in the nineteenth century, as a completion of their pant suits.

The papillon, or bow tie, is probably the one that generates more excitement as an emblem of sumptuous evenings: in black with a Hollywood tuxedo or white, made of batiste, with a charming evening dress.

Patrizio Rossi, web designer with a true passion for papillon, decided to follow his heart and opened a tailoring laboratory in the Umbrian town of Spoleto plus an on line shop since December 2015. Scraps of cotton, silks and brocades, classic models and sophisticated ones, real jewels with silver, plexiglas and feathers inserts. Unique pieces for men, women and children.

Patrizio is a pure creative, always looking for new solutions. The French taste of the packaging is remarkable. Papillon Italiano is a polished product in limited edition, with great care for detail and, most of all, the result of a great passion.

Bravo, Patrizio!
