Bjanko Milano Wearable Technology
Tyvek® Tecnofiber Becomes Fashion
We are talking about clothing Made in Italy with Barbara Signorini, co-founder of Bjanko Milano, a young company that produces extremely light and high performing casual garments.
Today we go to Milan to talk about fashion and technology.
A brilliant woman and architect, Barbara Signori is attracted to everything that is technological, Made in Italy and innovative. She is familiar with many building materials and their innovative properties, and thanks to her expertise in furniture, architecture and interior design, she identified Tyvek® as a valuable material to work with, and started using it to make clothing.
Bjanko Milano and Tyvek® Tecnofiber
Incredibly light and flexible as well as rip resistant, it was designed to retain the heat of the houses, but it can also retain body heat.
It is therefore the ideal material to become a protective shell not only for the home, but also for the human body.
“Everything that ‘protects the house’ can also protect the human body!”

Bjanko Milano Wearable Technology
Tyvek® Tecnofiber Becomes Fashion
Barbara Signori broke all the rules when she decided to move away from typical products of the textile industry such as nylon, polyester, cotton, ect., to instead use Tyvek®to make her garments.
In 2015 she founded Bjanko Milano with two other partners.
The line includes jackets, bags, accessories, and swimsuits, as well as shoes for men, women and children, made only with Tyvek®. Their production is managed entirely within their own facilities, except for a few external collaborations in sectors such as footwear.
Bjanko Milano is wind resistant, antibacterial, hypoallergenic, breathable
The clothing line is wind resistant, antibacterial, hypoallergenic, breathable, flame retardant, stain resistant, and insulating, as well as entirely recyclable.
After experimentation and market testing, they launched on the Italian and Spanish markets with extremely satisfactory results. Their next step: contracts and collaborations to develop the brand on the European market.
What can we say about this architect? She’s Brilliant…!
