5 tips to keep your good resolutions

You made your decision: that’s enough, holidays are finished, now you go to sign up to the gym and, from Monday, you start doing what’s right to do. Okay, but are you sure?
Get rid of common places: here are 5 TIPS to succeed with your good resolutions from Tiziana Pregliasco.
1 THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Don’t skip an essential step from the state of dissatisfaction on your physical condition to the moment in which you decide to attend a classic gym: it doesn’t have to be an automatic or obvious connection!
Relax, breathe deeply and focus to identify the intimate reasons of YOUR DISCOMFORT. Think about the movements that make you FEEL GOOD, the features that you’d like to improve and consider any possible alternative: a standard gym is not necessarily the best place for you to exercise.
2 DON’T START IN A RUSH
If you try to get everything at once you just discharge your batteries, without rooting good habits. SHORTCUTS generate fictitious results; it takes weeks, months and sometimes years to activate your body reconstruction mechanisms and adapt to the training.
Set gradual goals, step by step, KEEP CALM and be cool!

3 FIX REASONABLE GOALS
OBSERVE YOURSELF in the mirror, at length, without distractions. That’s YOU: set the expectations looking at yourself and not at magazines or billboards.
You can do a lot; in some cases you can totally transform yourself and, most of all, without using Photoshop, which is just for dirty players. Always compare your results with YOUR REFLECTION in the mirror. Record any discomfort feeling: you’ll leave it behind very soon. TRUST ME. Be reasonable, LOVE YOURSELF and your body, it’s the only place where you’ll surely live.
4 SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE YOU LIKE, IN PLACES YOU LIKE
It’s crucial: before choosing a sport centre, a personal trainer or group instructor, dedicate extra time to BENCHMARK. Compare and don’t be afraid to ask: if you don’t like people around you or you feel uncomfortable in a place, you’ll have a good excuse to give up at the first difficulty and this is not that what you want, right?
5 TO EACH HIS OWN PROFESSION
Now you can start. Don’t hesitate to ask certified professionals for help. Especially at the beginning it’s ESSENTIAL to have a competent guide: if you have been out of practice for a long time, your body can easily get STRESSED OUT and should be CAUTIOUSLY stimulated!
Remember that any resource you invest on your wellness is well spent, including the financial ones.
I’m sure that neither machines nor apps can help. Do you really think that a pseudo mechanical /digital trainer which works exactly in the same way for everyone can help someone unique and irreplaceable like you?
